Hey guys, LillyAnne here! Please comment on my story I wrote; I will post more chapters soon! Enjoy!
CRYSTAL SIMORA
“Jerry, do I really have to do that? I mean, come on! A middle school! And I’m talking to them about what again? My life as a movie star?” 14 year-old star, Crystal Simora whined.
“Of cah-use sweethaaat!” Crystal’s manager, Jerry Finn, said. “Breanne, get me a double-shot latte.” Jerry buzzed to his assistant in the next room. Crystal glanced up at the poster of herself on the framed cover of US Weekly. Then her eyes gazed over to a movie poster of the movie that made her famous, Love, Libby.
“Thanks, sweethat.” Jerry told Breanne. Crystal rolled her eyes as Breanne bowed to Jerry as if he was her master. She took a sip of her Green Tea-Be, and then sighed. “Something wrong, sweethat?” Jerry said peering cautiously into the latte, to check for dead bugs.
“Well, yes, but-,” Crystal was cut off by the sound of click-clacking heels entering the room
“Jerry, baby, when will Leila get her Hillier bag?” a tall blond, fair-skinned woman asked. Leila-Alexa Huber was Jerry’s girlfriend who repeatedly came to Jerry’s office. Jerry treated her with all kinds of things: gourmet cupcakes brought to her office, custom designer handbags, or the new Wonder™ cell phone.
Jerry looked from Leila to Crystal, choosing which one to deal with first.
“Jerry will get you your Hillier bag right after I get finished with Crystal.”
Leila sighed. “Alright, but it better be worth waiting for.” She ignored Crystal, who was tapping her French-manicured nails impatiently on Jerry’s desk.
“Don’t worry it will be custom, I PROMISE!” Jerry called, as Leila click-clacked out of the room.
“As usual.” Crystal mumbled under her breath as she observed the people outside from Jerry’s covers-the-whole-wall window. Jerry’s office was located in New York City so there were always people to survey outside.
“What was that, sweethat?” Jerry asked as he took out his next clients file from his desk drawer.
“Nothing. It doesn’t matter.” Crystal said, envying the free people outside Jerry’s window. Why should it matter? Nothing else did
BELLA McCOFFER
“OH MY GOSH!” Bella McCoffer screamed with her friends, and a bunch of other girls that were in the Hyatt F. McHugh Middle School cafeteria. “I can-NAWT believe Crystal Simora is actually coming to OUR school!” Bella’s best friend Sidnee Evans said to the girls at their lunch table. Their principal, Mrs. Grafton had just announced that Crystal Simora was coming to their school to talk to them about her life as a movie star, and on and on and on. Bella was thrilled and excited just like all the other girls at her school. Crystal was her teen idol. Why shouldn’t she be? Crystal’s sudden stardom made her an overnight icon; her flawless, tan body; her blond hair that was always styled to perfection; and her total-ten outfits made her hard to not notice. Bella knew that all the boys at her school had posters of her hanging in their lockers or on their bedroom walls and so did all the girls too.
Just then Mrs. Grafton walked by on her way back to her office. “Please calm down girls.” she said to their table. The girls stared at each other, then bursted out laughing. “How can we?! Crystal Simora is coming to our school! AHHHHHH!!” Bella, Sidnee and the other girls at their table screamed. Bella knew that the day that Crystal came, she was going to meet her, and then they would become best friends and hang out and go to a bunch of parties and-
Bella’s dream was cut off by a little thing called reality. She remembered that she would have to compete with a bunch of other girls to meet Crystal, the real live Crystal Simora, who was coming to THEIR school! Bella couldn’t do anything but thank her mother that she had made her go to Hyatt F. McHugh Middle School. Now, eighth grade was really going to start. But she knew that she was just another girl in the crowd of loser-fans and that her time had yet to come.

CRYSTAL SIMORA
“Crystal! Time to shop ‘til we drop!” Crystal’s best friend, Yvonne Arbor said. Yvonne was also a famous movie star, but not as famous as Crystal was. “Yvonne, you aren’t wearing the custom Xenia Munich friendship bracelet I gave you!” Crystal said, frowning.
Yvonne slapped her forehead. “I accidentally left the house without it! Stupid me! I’ll wear it on our next shopping outing, kay?”
“Um, sure…” Crystal said, grabbing her GiGi Enlightix purse and house keys. “Let’s go.” Yvonne followed Crystal out of her high-rise luxury apartment.
“Rate me.” Yvonne said, looking down at her Luluxa handbag, J.C. Alan yellow and orange sundress, and the colorful Perry O’Keefe rings. Crystal turned around to examine her friends outfit. “I’ll give you a….7.5!” Yvonne smiled. “Better than my last rating.” she laughed heartily.
“So…what is your next gig?” Crystal asked Yvonne, already knowing what it was. They were on Madison Avenue and shopping for some hot clothes for the next big party.
“Well, I’m going to be a movie called The Texting Tutors. Then I’m going to be in a Light and Dark ad.” Yvonne bragged, as she stared at her gold nails. Crystal knew that Yvonne always liked to brag a lot, and she was used to it big time. They sat down at a café, expecting to get service immediately knowing they were famous movie stars. A waitress with a name tag that read Carla asked them for their drink orders, and then scurried away. Crystal and Yvonne were silent while waiting for their drinks to arrive. A minute later Carla had brought their drinks out and the girls were chatting away.
“And your next gigs?” Yvonne asked Crystal, while sipping her ElectraLite energy drink.
“Well, my agent signed me up to talk to a bunch of nerdy middle school students about my life and a bunch of other stuff.” Crystal said rolling her eyes at even the thought of Jerry. “And that’s about it right now.” Then she took a sip of Citrus-Berry flavored water. Then she looked over at the next outdoor table. All the people there were sneaking looks at her and Yvonne, as if they were movie stars, which oh yeah!, they were. All the staring fans made Crystal feel claustrophobic and trapped, as if she couldn’t move. Yvonne was ignoring the fans, cool, calm, and collected. What a pro. If only Crystal could do that…
BELLA McCOFFER
“Sidnee, aren’t you toe-dally excited for Crystal Simora? You are such a downer!” Bella said, throwing a pillow at Sidnee, who was sitting down in a chair in the corner of Bella’s room. They were at the McCoffer’s spacious loft. “Sidnee, come on! Speak!” Bella begged. “What do I have to do to get you to talk!”
A devious smile spread across Sidnee’s face, but she remained quiet. Then she mumbled something that Bella couldn’t understand but she was desperate to make Sidnee talk. “What?”
“IsaidIsawCrystaltodayatacafewithmyfamilyandIdidn’twanttotellyoubecauseIthoughtyoumightbejealous.” Sidnee said really quickly. Then she looked down, as if what she had just said was totally stupid.
Bella was dumbstruck. “Um…I’m not jealous. We’ll all get to see her when she talks to us on Monday.” Bella said it like it was no big deal, but it TOE-dally was! Seeing and meeting Crystal would be like a dream come true - and it was actually happening!
“Sidnee, you can tell me anything. We’ve been best friends since kindergarten. Seriously, let’s not keep anymore secrets, kay?” Bella said straightforwardly.
“Okay, well then let’s start with this: I have to go to the bathroom.” Sidnee said, getting up to use the bathroom down the hall.
Bella giggled. “You have fun in there.” Sidnee left and then Bella’s older sister Ashlyn came in. “Hey, sis. Heard Crystal Simora is coming to your school. True?” Ashlyn asked using the I-don’t-really-care tone, but knowing her sister, Bella knew that inside she really, really wanted to know.
“Toe-dally true!” Bella answered merrily. She smiled to herself because she knew that her sister was probably really jealous.
“Cool…very cool. Maybe you could invite her to dinner?” Ashlyn asked. They giggled. “Well, have fun!” Ashlyn said joyously. She waved to Bella, and then walked out of the room. One thing I know for sure is that I definitely know that I will - and lots of it!
Sidnee came back and then the girls decided to go out to their favorite hang out spot, The Linguini Lounge. The Linguini Lounge was an awesome café/beanbag and futon place. Everyone at their school went to the lounge on karaoke night. The girls had lots of fun dancing and singing along to all the songs that played.
When Bella got home her mom was fixing herself a cup of cocoa in the kitchen. “Did you and Sidnee have a good time?” Bella’s mom, Genevieve asked. Bella’s mom was always completely stylish; today she was wearing a T.J. Tiffilow purple v-neck and Hailey Honor denim Capri’s. Bella was always proud of her mom’s outfits. Bella nodded, as she picked up the bag of marshmallows on the counter. She dropped a couple in her mom’s cocoa.
“Mom, have you ever met a celebrity?” Bella asked as she handed her mom her cocoa. Her mom looked at her quizzically.
“Well actually, I have. Her name was Allyson Matura. She was a huge star back in my teen years.” Bella’s mom said thoughtfully remembering the moment.
“Was what was she like?” Bella asked curiously. Bella was so curious about what Crystal would be like, so she had asked her mom what Allyson had been like.
She was disappointed as she saw her mom’s face cloud over. “She was a snotty, rude brat! I was so upset when I found that out. She was a fake. It was a huge shock.”
Bella was surprised at her mom’s angriness over a celebrity. Bella’s mom noticed her daughter’s stunned look.
“I was mad because I was excited and so very eager to meet her! And after I met her, I felt so let down. She was all that I didn’t think she was. She seemed nice in magazines and on TV interviews, but in reality, she was a bad-mannered celebrity.”
Bella understood her mom, but didn’t relate to her difficulty. And she hoped that she still wouldn’t relate to her mom when Crystal came.

Re: Story - In Her Shoes -
CRYSTAL SIMORA
Crystal was stunned by the humongous size of the middle school’s campus. They had a sports hall, an A Wing and a B Wing, and her favorite thing ever, a coke machine, which had coke zero in it - her favorite drink. Then again there were some cons too.
The school had turned a classroom into a dressing room for Crystal, which was way different from the dressing rooms she had at talk show interviews. The one’s backstage usually had Coke Zero’s, pretzels and some salted peanuts. They were more spacious than the classroom and had a vanity and a rack full of different dresses to choose from. The classroom-dressing room had a bunch of desks pushed to the side and the teacher’s desk served as the vanity and the board served as a mirror, which didn’t make any sense to Crystal because she had to turn around to see herself. The school put a sparse about of effort in welcoming her arrival, but she would tell Jerry about that later.
“Crystal! Sweetie! Want me to freshen up your makeup?” Crystal’s personal makeup artist, Clarisse, asked. She was a skinny blonde who was carrying a makeup case.
“Of course! Whaddya think, I was going to leave my makeup all ruddy like this?” Crystal asked, spinning in her swivel chair to see herself in the mirror. What the school called a makeup artist was anything but acceptable. For a fact, the makeup artist was a plump old woman wearing makeup as if she were a clown, who called herself Gigi. Crystal more than preferred Clarisse. Just then she heard the classroom door open. She turned around to face the door in her swivel chair.
Crystal’s mother, Marcella, entered the room in one of her stylish dresses. “Mom!” Crystal yelled. Crystal’s mom never usually came to any of her concerts or anything! Crystal looked around, and she was happy -
“Under my umbrella, ella, ella, eh, eh, eh. Under my umbrella, ella, ella, eh, eh!”
- until her mom’s cell phone rang, Rihanna’s “Umbrella”. She glared at her mom.
Her mom shrugged and said, “Sorry, hon, gotta take this.” and left the room. Crystal wilted down in her chair. Clarisse patted her shoulder, and continued to put on makeup. “Why won’t my mom ever listen to me, Clarisse? It’s like I’m invisible to her. Invisible to everyone. I mean, the real me. My singing talent is the fog blocking them from seeing the true me.” Crystal was definitely not pepped up at all.
BELLA McCOFFER
The girls at Bella’s lunch table were squealing with excitement. Their next period was when Crystal gave the talk. “Alright guys, I’ve got some big news before we all see Crystal.” Sidnee announced. Bella had no idea what Sidnee was going to say, but she could tell from the excitement of her face, it was going to be good.
“I saw Crystal at the Geiger Café on 24th Street. It was the coolest thing ever! She and her friend were talking, and then she turned around and looked at us and it was SOOOOO cool!!!”
Bella was quiet when the girls turned to stare at her. “Well, Bella was there…right????” a girl named Charlee asked. She had black hair and a pink tank top on over a short-sleeved magenta shirt. She had asked because everyone who sat at their lunch table knew that Bella and Sidnee were practically inseparable.
“Charlee...we all know I’m capable of doing things by myself.” Sidnee said, irritated. Bella was bewildered as to what Sidnee’s fuss was about.
Bella had kind of expected this is to happen, all because of Crystal. Everyone wanted to talk to her - on their own. She turned around to stare at Sidnee, and everyone followed her gaze.
“Guys! Look!” Isabella Evans whispered, as the rest of the table leaned in close. She pointed to the teacher’s snack table, where Mrs. Grafton was talking with a blond haired girl….
“EHMAGAWD! It’s Crystal!” Bella said a bit too loudly. All the girls at their table whipped their heads around to get a good sighting. “You’re right! It’s definitely her blond hair…” Jessica Roberts said, still staring longingly at the pop star. “I wish I was Mrs. Grafton!”
The girls shared a laugh, and then returned to their lunches, like nothing had happened. Bella knew that that was what was going to happen after someone had talked with Crystal privately; she would want no one to know.
