In the Haunted Mansion Holiday version, you get to see a GIGANTIC Jack Skellington head (no kidding, it really is huge). When you walk through the Changing Portrait gallery on the way to the loading area (Limbo) during the Haunted Mansion Holiday, you may notice you pass a sign with candles by it that says "Sleigh Rides". When HMH first started, that sign used to read "Slay Rides"... they changed it to "Sleigh" the very next year it operated and it's been that way ever since :D

Wow i guess you learn something every day :D

I think the Jack Skellington head in the stretching room looks a little... odd. It's just too big.

Spoiler:

I also have a picture of Master Gracey's hanging skeleton from eye level, but if you're too scared of it from a distance then I probably shouldn't post a close-up.

Case in point with the gigantic head :D

I think I've got that same hanging skeleton picture too, Jason. They really put a lot of attention to detail into creating the effect. It's creepy, but it's cool!

Hey Hawk? Got another question for you. Being in the "greater Los Angeles" vicinity, have you ever traveled down to Long Beach and to the Queen Mary with your gadgets and do-dads?
On a recent trip down there (away from my family, shhhh!) Monkey and I stayed there for a few nights (and made a trip to DLR a3 ), and after searching the boat we found nothing unusual. But then in our cabin the first night, while I was in the bathroom, Monkey swore he felt a hand press down on his hip (he thought it was me).
Hmm, I am thinking I have had more experiences then I first remembered!!

I've only ever been on the Queen Mary once and that was for some kind of tattoo show. I didn't have any of my equipment with me, but I did walk around the public areas of the ship to see if I could experience anything; unfortunately, I came up empty.

I'm not surprised that Monkey had an odd experience since the Queen Mary is thought to be rife with activity.

Next time I'm around, I'll be sure to bring in an EMF meter, camera, audio recorder, and temperature gauge with me just to be sure :D

Hmm, I hate to be the wet blanket here (Well, not entirely) but isn't it possible your machine just got an error reading for a split second, or there was something you missed? Also, what would an electro-magnetic field have anything to do with a ghost? Just curious about that...

If there are error readings on the EMF meter, they don't affect the meter as much as that field did. I scanned the entire area twice and there was nothing to suggest there was anything like wiring, moving mechanical parts, or electricity flow that was causing the field to occur. These would all give off higher constant fields as you moved toward them and would be fairly constant once you actually moved right to the source; this was not the case in either the Foyer or the Stretching Room.

The theory in the field is that since ghosts are made of energy, any energy needed for a manifestation will be drawn from the environment around it to keep the law of Conservation of Energy in check. As that energy is drawn, it gives off an electromagnetic field due to the fact that the energy level is changing. Hope that answers your question :D

Also, if you think about it, Everything is made up of Energy. Except its said that humans don't exert as much energy as ghosts. Its supposed that ghosts collect energy to manifest themselves and when a ghost is present the high energy shows that a ghost is present, and trying to manifest itself by collecting energy from things around it.

You're spot-on, Wings :D

Humans give off a very small electromagnetic field, but the EMF meters are calibrated to avoid reading those values and giving off a false positive.

Another theory (this one regarding "cold spots") is that as the energy is drawn from the surroundings (since energy and heat are directly related and are, in certain cirumstances, the same thing), the heat in that area decreases; as the heat decreases, the temperature goes down and can cause what is described as a cold spot. A "cold spot" is basically an isolated spot in an area that has a lower temperature than its surroundings when it is not created by a natural source (such as a directed cooling system, wind, etc). Certain things can feel like cold spots, so you always have to be sure there is no natural source it could be coming from.
