Below are some steps you can take to protect your password, either on this forum and in VFK.
1. On VFK Fan Forums - Never provide your password to anyone (not even our board admin and mods), even if this person claims being part of our forum hosting! We will NEVER ask for anyones password. We have no way of seeing or knowing your password, only YOU know it.
2. On VFK Game. see # 1. They will NEVER ask for anyones password.
Here is the solution without giving your password.
If you forget your password use the "I forgot my password" feature, an email will be sent to you with a new password. Once logged in, go to your Profile and change it again (use a password you will easily remember, but, do not use a simple password). If you don't change it, never keep the email in an online mailbox IE: Hotmail, Gmail or Yahoo.
3. ALWAYS Log you out if you use a public computer. When you want to leave the forum or the game, while on a public computer (in a cybercafe, at school, at a friend's home), always think to use the "Log out button", never use the browser's "Do you want this password to be kept" feature (Always answer "NO")
If you say "yes" THAT computer will remember your log-in information. The next person to use that computer can easily log into your account.

Re: Good Security Practices
Great advice once again.
If I may - also, do not leave your passwords on papers lying on tables in your home. Keep them in a secure place. Someone like a cable guy or delivery person could come in and see them and use them.
