Ah, the VMK "Blackheart Quest" - it was a 'doozy', wasn't it, Hawk? I zipped through his 'easy quest', but the big one, to get silver ears AND Treasure AND Lightning magic pins..I was 2/3rds of the way through when VMK cancelled it (thanks to those weasely n00bs using 'bot programs' to cheat their way to winning the quest). So I missed the silver ears and magic pins (sigh), but now I'm more than ready to try my hand at our VFK quests..!

Some of my friends were on the verge of finishing the quest when they cancelled it. I was very upset with VMK for doing that to them. I still don't know if I completely buy the reason we were given. If they knew who was doing it like they said, then why cancel it for all the honest players who were actually doing the quest? Just ban those who were guilty.

I'm looking forward to the Adventures VFK has in store for us. I always liked doing the Quests.

The "Ebbil Cyan" (my alter-ego, usually kept locked up in a padded room, for everyone elses safety..lol) is nodding her head in agreement with your assessment, Horse! I mean, all of a sudden in the last 4 weeks we were told that VMK was (suddenly) a 'temporary promotion' (as of WHEN, exactly? When people were booking DLR vacations to get the stitch hat? OR during all those in-park quests? When we were told? Oh yeah, I remember..AFTER Disney told us they were closing VMK!!!Grrr..!!! *gets tranquilizer gun* Down, Ebbil Cyan, DOWN! Back to your room!..Whew, that was close..!) - where were we? Oh yes, discussing Disneys disappointing methods of handling problems, and why trusting them will be a difficult pill to swallow for quite a while to come..! :question:

I went to disney, did in-park quests, made an account, and loved it.
I spent half the day in VMK Central, wasted time that we didnt see Adventureland, and now they shut.
Its just terrible.

I've never gotten to go to the parks myself (but my son did get to go to WDW for his class trip year before last), and when my sister-in-law went with her children she did the in-park quest to get the Red Space Suit pin, because she knew how kooky I am..was for VMK. :( But just thinking about how AWESOME VFK is going to be makes me feel better fast (like Alka-Seltzer, but without all that fizzing in mah eyes)..! And now..take it away, kittehs..!

I only went to one park where is saw no sign of vmk and that blackheart quest UGH!! i helped 3 friends complete it fully and was the jungle cruise part when it was closed. Basically vmk was telling ' if i was selfish and left my friends and others behind i would of had a better chance of completing ' which to me isnt that good >_< And my friends who won were letting me borrow the items every chance they had until TD magic became untradeable.. >_< That quest put vmk in a bad eye for me and then when i was nearly over it VMK comes out and says its closing.

Lets all hope getting the golden tricorn hat ISNT like that AT ALL.

One good thing about VFK is that there won't be quests that not everyone can do, like the Hannah Montana, and High School Musical. If you havn't seen, you can't do it! Of couse, everyone cheats now with DOW.

Very good point, Diary! I still haven't done the "HSM" quest (but did fumble my way through "HM"..lol) - I'm excited to think about what the VFK quest will entail..! :fireworks: :fireworks:

I hope that VFK wouldn't construct a quest that would require players to leave the website for info on the quest/game/scavenger hunt that we'll be playing, Egg (I'd like something along the lines of VMKs "Blackheart" quest - the info needed for the trivia part of the quest was right there at the VMK webpage)..!

I'm so excited at the idea of all of us racing around VFK like over-caffeinated kittehs , trying to get our greedy lil' paws on prizes, prizes, prizes..! :elephant: :elephant:

Yeah, and not having to go and do disney movie rewards, ebay, fly ourselves across the country to do in part quests and pins...

Oh Diary, you're SO right about the movie rewards fiasco - I finally had enough points to get inferno magic, and planned on getting the inferno that weekend to celebrate, and literally two days later I find out that VMK is closing (Grrrr)! I'm so glad I saved those points instead of using them on a pin I'd be about to lose (through no fault of my own, even)..! :shock: :shock:
