I hear you on that, Cute! I was justthisclose to using my DVD points for "Inferno Magic", in fact, planned to do so the very weekend they announced 'the other game' was closing - I was among many hoping against hope that this was, without a doubt, the worst "April Fools Day" joke, ever..only to find out it was true..! :;bigums: :shock:CuteStarPluto wrote:CynAnne let's not forget the DVD for movie rewards offering virtul items in January when they knew way back they were closing arg!! Oh yes, how about all those lovely pin sets that were also purchased. :(

If you click on the VFK homepage, Waffle, and go to "Archives", they show a picture of the hat, which will apparently be a prize in the 1st VFK quest (we believe - please to not quote me..lol)..or, you can click on Kimmys 'sticky' here: http://www.vfkfanforums.com/vfk-upcoming-events-new-items-f3/vfk-clothing-hats-please-do-not-post-comments-in-this-thread-t496.html and scroll down a bit to see a nice lil' picture of the legendary Golden Tricorn Hat..!Maroonskywaffle wrote:did I miss something? Never mind OBVIOUSLY I did. What is this hat that you all speak of? LOL

Well hopfully it will be...since we've seen it but we don't have it we can maybe think that it will be for first quest! Good thinking guys!!

*makes rude honking noises* Ya "Arck!"ed me on that one, kwaz..!kwaz wrote:the hat looked cool, but the clock that thinks it is a pink couch is much cooler

OR during all those in-park quests? When we were told? Oh yeah, I remember..AFTER Disney told us they were closing VMK!!!Grrr..!!! *gets tranquilizer gun* Down, Ebbil Cyan, DOWN! If they knew who was doing it like they said, then why cancel it for all the honest players who were actually doing the quest? Just ban those who were guilty.
I'm looking forward to the Adventures VFK has in store for us. I always liked doing the Quests.
Yea..so many broken hearts! :( Totally...Totally agree. Once that trust has been
broken..then its hard to see the Pixie dust again :pixie:
At the risk of making this one of the 'wordiest' re-quotes in VFKFF history, I agree completely with your assessment of Disney - and I'll go one further ("Ebbil Cyan" alert!)..I think that Disney, in effect, used us to test out their MMO capabilities and see if they could garner interest for their website, then tossed us aside like yesterdays newspapers when their new, more 'sophisticated' MMOs were ready to go 'into the market', and they dangled them in front of our collective faces like cheap, shiny beads. And although I did 'Create A Fairy' for the "Pixie Hollow" game (the only Disney game so far I'm even remotely interested in!), I don't visit the site daily, like I did do with 'the other game'. So as far as I'm concerned, Disney and I can become casual aquaintances (like we were before 'the other game'), but there's no love there like there was before! *uses tranquilizer dart on "Ebbil Cyan", and removes her to a secluded area* Sorry about that, but she was getting ready to rant, and then we'd be here forever..! :;bigums:JungleDudette wrote:PirateBell wrote:CynAnne wrote:The "Ebbil Cyan" (my alter-ego, usually kept locked up in a padded room, for everyone elses safety..lol) is nodding her head in agreement with your assessment, Horse! WOW... there is so much in this quote of three people -
that horribly unfair quest: I too wasn't quite finished with it PirateBell, as well as a couple of my close - and very disappointed - friends. And I don't buy their story at all; I still maintain that their decision to close VMK was the RESULT of their short-sighted quest design and its vulnerability to cheaters.
EbbilCyan: I can tell we are kindred spirits 8) and the disappointment is immeasurable. It's really not the decision itself, it's more the way they went about it and more importantly the way they showed total disregard to us as individuals AND as a community. (Seriously, DIG, did you really think we would just all rush to be a toon or penguin or fairy or [for goodness sakes!] a CAR?!? If I didn't know better, I would think that Eisner had returned...)
Broken Trust.... Difficult pill to swallow.... hard to see the Pixie dust again.... BOY HOWDY!
Sorry to get off topic, but you guys really moved me by your statements, I had to respond.
Now, as to that hat! lol (yay, on topic!) I just looked at a picture of it again, and I honestly can not get excited about it. Maybe when we can finally buy stuff and wear new things, then I'll think it's cool, but right now it just doesn't do anything for me. Wonder what kind of cool threads are gonna come out to wear with it... hmmm.... will the ladies get a bonnet to wear while the gentlemen wear their (wigs and cumberbands and) tricorn hats? hehe
